Xcellerate IT acquires Process Automation Group to strengthen WA and national capability

Xcellerate IT acquires Process Automation Group, strengthening its Western Australia presence and expanding national intelligent automation capability.

Strategic acquisition reinforces Xcellerate IT’s national footprint while ensuring continuity for Process Automation Group clients across Western Australia.

Xcellerate IT has completed the full acquisition of Western Australia–based Process Automation Group, marking a significant step in the company’s continued national growth and investment in intelligent automation.

Process Automation Group will continue operating under its established brand, maintaining its strong presence in the Western Australian market. The business will now operate under Xcellerate IT ownership and leadership, supported by expanded national resources, delivery capability and technical expertise.

The acquisition strengthens Xcellerate IT’s position as one of the region’s leading Tungsten Automation partners and enhances its ability to deliver enterprise-grade intelligent automation solutions across Australia.

A strategic expansion of national capability

This acquisition represents a deliberate expansion of Xcellerate IT’s national footprint and service depth.

For more than 25 years, Xcellerate IT has delivered intelligent automation and business process transformation solutions to enterprise and government organisations across Australia. By bringing Process Automation Group into the Xcellerate IT group, the company further strengthens its capability to deliver scalable, high-performance automation solutions with greater reach and technical breadth.

Howard Boretsky, Managing Director of Xcellerate IT, said the acquisition reflects the company’s long-term commitment to growth and market leadership.

“Process Automation Group has built a strong and respected presence in the Western Australian market. This acquisition strengthens our national capability while reinforcing our long-term investment in WA.

We see significant opportunity to expand services, deepen technical expertise and increase delivery scale. Our focus is on expanding the depth, scale and expertise we deliver to our clients, while ensuring sustainable growth across the regions we serve.”

The combined strength of both organisations enhances Xcellerate IT’s ability to support increasingly complex automation, AI and cloud-enabled transformation initiatives across finance, operations and enterprise programs.

Continuity and expanded support for WA clients

A core priority of the acquisition is continuity and stability.

Process Automation Group will continue operating under its existing brand, ensuring familiarity and consistency for its Western Australian client base. Clients will now benefit from the backing of a nationally recognised automation specialist, with access to broader expertise, expanded service offerings and increased delivery capacity.

This structure provides a seamless transition while positioning the business for long-term growth in the WA market.

Boretsky added:

“Our priority is continuity for clients, stability for the team and expanded capability across the board. Organisations in Western Australia will continue working with a trusted brand, now backed by the scale and strength of Xcellerate IT.”

A new chapter for Process Automation Group

Following completion of the acquisition, Adam Niedzwiedz, Director of Technology and founder of Process Automation Group, will transition out of the business.

Niedzwiedz established Process Automation Group with a focus on delivering practical, high-quality automation outcomes for organisations across Western Australia.

Commenting on the acquisition, he said:

“I’m incredibly proud of what the Process Automation Group team has built and grateful for the trust our clients have placed in us over the last decade. Joining the Xcellerate IT group creates a strong foundation for the next phase of growth, ensuring clients and team members benefit from expanded expertise, greater resourcing and long-term strategic backing.”

The transition marks the beginning of a new chapter for Process Automation Group, supported by the scale, experience and national capability of Xcellerate IT.

Strengthening intelligent automation leadership

With the addition of Process Automation Group, Xcellerate IT further strengthens its position as a leading provider of intelligent automation, AI-driven transformation and cloud-enabled enterprise solutions in Australia.

The acquisition expands the company’s presence in Western Australia and reinforces its ability to deliver complex automation programs across multiple industries and jurisdictions.

By maintaining the Process Automation Group brand while operating under Xcellerate IT ownership and leadership, the organisation combines local market strength with national capability, positioning the group for sustained growth across the Australian automation landscape.
