McConnell Dowell, a leading infrastructure construction company and Xcellerate IT customer, was named winner of the Kofax Customer Excellence Award for Innovation 2022, recognising its successful use of intelligent automation to drive meaningful operational improvement.
This award was presented prior to Kofax’s rebrand to Tungsten Automation and reflects McConnell Dowell’s innovative use of automation technology implemented and supported by Xcellerate IT.
The Kofax Customer Excellence Awards recognise organisations that demonstrate outstanding innovation and measurable value through the use of intelligent automation technologies.
McConnell Dowell received the Innovation Award for its implementation of the Kofax TotalAgility platform, delivering a modern, browser-based accounts payable automation solution that improves efficiency, visibility, and control across its operations.
The automation solution enables McConnell Dowell to process approximately 40,000–45,000 invoices per quarter, significantly reducing manual effort while improving tracking and financial transparency across Asia Pacific operations.
By automating repetitive, data-intensive processes, the solution allows teams to focus on higher-value work and supports scalable growth across complex, multi-entity environments.
“Working like tomorrow, today, for us, means automating things to ensure that our staff are doing more efficient work, rather than day-to-day mundane work that a machine can do for them”, said Inez Clement, Group Finance Systems Manager at McConnell Dowell.
“This award recognises McConnell Dowell’s achievement, but it also reflects the professionalism and expertise of the teams involved in delivering the solution,” said Howard Boretsky, Managing Director at Xcellerate IT.
“We worked closely with McConnell Dowell to deliver a live accounts payable automation solution and continue to collaborate on additional automation initiatives, including delivery docket and goods receipting automation.”
Since this award was presented, Kofax has evolved into Tungsten Automation, reflecting its expanded focus on AI-powered, intelligent workflow automation.
Xcellerate IT continues to support customers like McConnell Dowell with scalable automation solutions that improve efficiency, streamline operations, and enable organisations to adapt confidently to changing business demands.
